When Xena and Gabrielle head out into the woods to find missing villagers, Discord decides not to get involved because she just doesn’t care. Supposedly. After the pair are gone for a few days Discord becomes concerned and finally goes out to search for her missing travel partners.

This was a fun issue. The dynamic between these three characters is rather amusing since Discord is constantly feigning annoyance at them, but obviously has grown to care, despite comments to the contrary. Vita Ayala is writing fun, entertaining stories that capitalize on Xena’s skills and general themes without getting too bogged down by complex swords and sorcery. It’s a good read with fresh story concepts from issue to issue.
