Rebel Thom Hudd has spent some time being tortured by Darth Vader’s servant Vaneé, until he was able to get loose from the creepy little figure. But, even though Hudd is out of the bindings, he’s still at Vaneé’s mercy, which includes being told another story. The next tale is about Asajj Ventress, an assassin who became a bounty hunter and is contracted to find who or what is snatching people from the Coruscant underworld.

Return to Vader’s Castle has been an entertaining series of Halloween-tinged Star Wars stories. In this gem by Cavan Scott with art by Francesco Francavilla and Nick Brokenshire, readers get to follow a tough bounty hunter and the dangers of a sarlacc nestled in civilization. It’s a fun adventure story with a tad of scariness from the creepy sarlacc.
