Star has Carol on the ropes, having drained most of her power and also stolen the energy from virtually every other person in Times Square. With nowhere to run and her life, and the lives of others, on the line, Carol is forced to make a dangerous decision that might put her out of commission for good.

The conclusion to this arc shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but that doesn’t make it any less satisfying. Seeing Star properly taken down is super gratifying, and even better is seeing the public finally get over the fact that Carol has actually been part Kree the whole time, choosing to accept her for her actions rather than her heritage. Captain Marvel continues to be one of the most consistently good books at Marvel, and I look forward to seeing where these characters go next.
