Back Issue magazine, founded and edited by Overstreet Advisor and DC, Dark Horse, and Comico veteran editor Michael Eury, is counting down to its 100th issue, which is featured in the June 2017 issue of PREVIEWS from Diamond Comic Distributors. For those who have had the misfortune to not be familiar with Back Issue, the magazine celebrates comic books of the 1970s, 1980s, and today.

This centennial issue features a wide-ranging Bronze Age fanzines and fandom beginning with the story of The Buyer’s Guide by founder Alan Light, and histories of The Comic Reader, FOOM, Amazing World of DC Comics, Charlton Bullseye, Squa Tront, and Fawcett Collectors of America. Included are contributions from Scott Edelman, Carl Gafford, Bob Greenberger, Jack C. Harris, Tony Isabella, David Anthony Kraft, Bob Layton, Paul Levitz, Michael Uslan, John Workman, and others, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Back Issue with Michael Eury.

Also among the insights will be a definitive interview with The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide’s author and founder Robert M. Overstreet conducted by our own J.C. Vaughn.

Back Issue #100, the special 100-page centennial issue, is cover dated October 2017, and is scheduled to ship September 13, 2017 from TwoMorrows Publishing. The full-color publication carries a $9.95 cover price. You can find listed as a Featured Item on page 438 in the June PREVIEWS.
