Marvel TV has signed a significant deal with Hulu that will bring multiple comic book characters to the streaming service in animated format.

This agreement will see Marvel TV product four adult animated series: Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey and Tigra & Dazzler, as well as a crossover special called The Offenders. These series will see Patton Oswalt, Kevin Smith, and Chelsea Handler on writing duties, and will be directed by the team of Josh Gordon and Will Speck.

Smith will be writing Howard the Duck with David Willis (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), while Oswalt will handle writing duties for M.O.D.O.K., and Gordon and Speck will write on Hit-Monkey. Handler will be working on writing Tigra & Dazzler with Erica Rivinoja (Girls Trip). The one-off Offenders crossover does not yet have a writer. Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb will serve as executive producer on all of these series.

This Hulu deal comes on the heels of Disney (which owns Marvel) acquiring the majority shareholder rights, which will happen as soon as the Fox-Disney merger is completed. No premiere dates for any of these series has yet been announced.
