Archie Comics’ resident alien adventurer Cosmo will be returning for a new limited series later in 2019, to be called Cosmo the Mighty Martian.

The character was originally created by Bob White, and made his debut in Archie’s Cosmo the Merry Martian for a short six-issue run between September 1958 and October 1959. Decades later, Archie Comics revived the character for a five-part miniseries, Cosmo, in 2018. The revival came from the creative team of writer Ian Flynn and artists Tracy Yardley, Matt Herms and Jack Morelli.

That team will be returning for this new miniseries, which will see Cosmo and his friends taking off on a new adventure through the solar system.

“It’s both exciting and satisfying that Cosmo was so well received we get to continue his adventures,” Flynn told io9. “This time we have to go bigger and bolder. Cosmo volume one was a fun adventure where a crew of Martians (and one wayward human astronaut) discovered danger and mystery on the Moon. Cosmo the Mighty Martian will be building off of that and exploring even more of the Solar System.”

Cosmo the Mighty Martian #1 arrives on November 13, 2019.
