In early November, the Society of Illustrators is presenting a special opportunity for Marvel fans as they host An Evening with Award-Winning Illustrator Joe Quesada. The artist/writer/producer and Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer will participate in an interactive discussion. He’ll talk about his career from the early days as an artist and self-publisher on titles like X-Factor and Ash to his time as Editor in Chief at Marvel and his current role as CCO of Marvel Entertainment.

After the Q&A session, there will be a signing of the new edition of The Marvel Art of Joe Quesada. This revised and expanded version of the sold out original volume delves into Quesada’s work with illustrations from the early stages on Wolverine: Origin and Daredevil: Father to later work in comics, film, and TV. The book is filled with the detail in his artistry, containing some of his best interior and cover art, plus unpublished images and sketches and commentary from Quesada.

The special event will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The member price is $10, non-member is $15, and students/senior citizen is $7.

In addition to the special event, Quesada’s art will be the subject of a special exhibit at the Society of Illustrators, which he selected. The exhibit will be open from October 15 to November 23.

The evening with Quesada and the exhibit will be held at the Society of Illustrators’ second floor gallery, located at 128 East 63rd Street in New York City.
