The Society of Illustrators has released the visual, designed by artist Chris Ware, for the 18th annual MoCCA Arts Festival. This strong, graphic image will appear on signage and promotional materials for the MoCCA Arts Festival, to be held on April 4-5, 2020, at the spacious Metropolitan West located at 639 West 46th Street in Manhattan.
Ware is among the most critically-acclaimed cartoonists working today. Since his work appeared in RAW Magazine in 1990, he has published a number of ground-breaking works including the ACME Novelty Library series, Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth, Building Stories, and Rusty Brown. In addition to his graphic novel work, Ware has created over 25 covers for The New Yorker.
Ware will be attending the fest as a guest of honor. Further scheduling information about his attendance will be available in future announcements. To learn more about Ware and this year’s MoCCA Arts Festival, visit moccafest.org.
