Actress Lynn Cohen, known for her roles in Sex and the City and Hunger Games: Catching Fire, died on Friday, February 14, 2020. She was 86 years old.

A veteran of both the stage and screen, Cohen appeared in 13 episodes of Sex and the City, as well as the movie adaptations, starring as Magda the housekeeper. In Catching Fire, she played Mags, a Hunger Games winner forced back into the arena for a second round against fellow survivors.

Cohen was born on August 10, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri. She made a name for herself in Off-Broadway productions during the ’70s, earning nominations from the Drama League Award and Lucille Lortel Awards. Her first notable screen work was in 1993’s Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Throughout Law & Order’s run, she appeared in several episodes as Judge Elizabeth Mizener. Cohen had guest starring roles in TV shows like NYPD Blue, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Days of Our Lives, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Damages, and Chicago Med.

Her film work included Deconstructing Harry, Cradle Will Rock, Munich, Invincible, Across the Universe, Eagle Eye, The World Without You, and one of her final completed roles was in Feast of the Seven Fishes.
