CBCS has redesigned their comic book holder with a team of engineers working with collectors. The new holder is the most advanced clarity and appeal they can offer with archival protection. It was designed utilizing the same materials used for archival preservation of paper.

It is sonically sealed around the entire perimeter of the case with unobtrusive vents that allow off-gassing of the comic. This eliminates the need for micro-chamber paper and prevents the need to have comics put through the re-holder process to replace the paper.

Encapsulation using the new holder began on July 1, 2020. Books received after this date for the re-holder service will also be encapsulated in the new CBCS holder.
