The Umbrella Academy is growing its reach from comic to TV series and now to a tabletop game. The Umbrella Academy Game based on the comic book series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá is now seeking backers on Kickstarter.

“We are thrilled with the continued fan response and reception to The Umbrella Academy. Our love for these stories and characters is what makes us excited for you all to get to experience them first hand with the Studio 71 Umbrella Academy card game,” a statement from Way and Bá reads.

The game is for 1-6 players, ages 12 and up. The rulebook can be downloaded on the Kickstarter page, which also features game art.

Pledge levels start at $25 for the standard edition that includes the box, tray, rule sheet, and 199 game cards. The deluxe edition is $45 which includes the standard material along with the 7” x 14” game board and eight custom plastic tokens. The collector’s edition runs $75 and features an exclusive box with clear plastic sleeve, upgraded tray rule sheet, 199 metallic silver game cards, the game board and custom tokens, 1 custom color UA enamel pin set, and The Umbrella Academy Vol. 1 book with a new cover by Bá.

The game was 100% funded in less than an hour and is still open for backing until August 30, 2020.
