Trina Robbins is seeking help finding her original artwork that has been stolen.

Robbins loaned five pieces of her original comic art from the 1970s for a planned exhibit at Sacramento State College. The exhibit was cancelled due to COVID-19, then in May 2020 the woman who was going to run the exhibit suffered the loss of her daughter to cancer. Robbins told her to take her time in returning the art.

In recent weeks Robbins reached out to find out when the art will be sent back only to be told that the pages were returned back in May. Upon investigation, Robbins discovered that someone signed for the FedEx package, signing as “RTRINA.” According to Robbins, she has never signed her name that way.

The woman from Sacramento State College is filing a claim with FedEx and Robbins is asking that if anyone has seen the art since May to reach out to her. She stated that she has very little art left from the ‘70s and has not been selling it, though she estimates that the pages would be worth $5,000.

If anyone has seen the art offered for sale, reach out to Robbins on Facebook.
