The clash of giant monsters is coming to viewers sooner than expected. Warner Bros. has moved up the release of Godzilla vs. Kong to March 26, 2021. This is two months sooner than its previous release date in May. It was originally scheduled to hit theaters in November 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The movie will be available simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max.

Godzilla vs. Kong sees the titans meeting for the first time in the fourth film of Legendary Entertainment’s monster universe. The current series began with Godzilla in 2014, then followed with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.

Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, and Brian Tyree Henry. It is directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next). Very little footage has been revealed so far, so a trailer will likely be released soon in anticipation for the release.
