Star Trek: Picard has dropped the first trailer for the highly anticipated second season featuring the reappearance of John de Lancie as Q and a new look for Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine.

The trailer opens with Picard (Patrick Stewart) at his vineyard when he is shocked to find Q – rocking a Mirror Universe goatee – standing before him. He gives the dire warning, “Welcome, my friend to the very end of the road not taken” followed by shots of the cast in what appears to be alternate versions of their lives.

What is perhaps the biggest surprise happens when Star Trek: Voyager’s Seven of Nine wakes up to find an unaltered face and a different badge that suggests she’s in a universe were she was not assimilated by the Borg.

Star Trek: Picard returns for season two in 2022 on Paramount Plus. The series also stars Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Harry Treadaway, and Evan Evagora.
