Writer-artist Billy Tucci arrived on the comic book scene with his successful launch of Shi: Way of the Warrior #1 in 1994. Now Crusade Fine Arts is collecting that original series and more in a 488-page hardcover omnibus edition.

Shi: Omnibus Volume. 1 is presently being offered on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter. The campaigns raised in excess of $100,000 in less than 48 hours.

“The Omnibus collects all 12 issues of Shi: Way of the Warrior, the three-part interlacing Tomoe miniseries, and the 48-page Shi vs. Tomoe,” Tucci told Scoop. “We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of this series, which ran from 1994 to 1996.”

In addition to Tucci, creators involved in the project include Peter Gutierrez, Barry Orkin, Michael Bair, Gary Cohn, Dan Mishkin, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Amanda Conner, among others. The book contains a foreword and an afterward by Chris Claremont (X-Men) and Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo). The campaigns have just under 30 days remaining.
