Peacemaker is on a new task force in the first full-length trailer for the HBO Max series, Peacemaker.

He is working for the US government with a team of outcasts as an assassin for hire, but his narrow perspective of doing whatever is necessary to establish peace takes a hit when he is ordered to kill a family. Add some bumbling interactions with his crew and the dysfunctional relationship with his father, and Peacemaker’s life is not going quite the way he’d like.

Peacemaker reunites The Suicide Squad director James Gunn and John Cena, who originated the role of Peacemaker in the superhero comedy.

The show also stars Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Christopher Heyerdahl as Captain Locke, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economics, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, and Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn.  

Peacemaker will start streaming on HBO Max on January 13, 2022.
