The Expanse franchise is growing. The science fiction novel series by James S.A. Corey, which was adapted as a TV series streaming on Amazon Prime is adding a new chapter with The Expanse: Dragon Tooth graphic novel.

Dragon Tooth is the first new story since The Expanse season six, revealing the history between Babylon’s Ashes (book 6) and Persepolis Rising (book 7). It was written by Andy Diggle (The Losers) under Corey’s creative guidance and supervision and features art by Rubine (Voltron: Legendary Defender).

The Expanse: Dragon Tooth deluxe is now available for preorder on Kickstarter. Backers can purchase it as 12 comic books or in a trilogy of collected editions. The single issues will come with premium cardstock covers with spot varnish enhancement and variant covers by Jamie McKelvie (The Wicked + The Divine). The collected hardcover editions have variant covers by Miguel Mercado (Ice Cream Man).

The campaign includes four metal box sets with the insignia of a different group from The Expanse universe (Inner, Belter, Protogen, and Rocinante). The limited edition packages will come with premium exclusive items and merchandise, including editions signed by Diggle and Corey, variant covers, a map of the Sol System, and a prop replica of The Expanse hand terminal.

The Kickstarter campaign has already reached its goal and will be live until Thursday, March 9, 2023.
