DSTLRY, the new comics publisher and collectibles company that is redefining creator-owned comics has announced a new deal with French publishing house Groupe Delcourt. The foreign rights deal will give Groupe Delcourt a first look option to translate DSTLRY titles into French.

Groupe Delcourt has remained an essential foundation of the French speaking comic book community. We’re overjoyed to partner with them so more readers can enjoy the upcoming slate of our graphic novels by some of the most acclaimed writers and artists in the United States, Europe, and beyond,” DSTLRY co-founders David Steinberger and Chip Mosher said in a statement.

DSTLRY launched in April 2023 with the plan to give creators an equity stake in the company while also retaining ownership of characters and concepts. In early May, they announced a deal with Diamond Book Distributors to exclusively distribute their products to the North American and international book markets.

Delcourt has already provided their digital titles to the US via Comixology and the company was among DSTLRY’s initial investors.

DSTLRY’s first title, The Devil’s Cut, will be an oversized 72-page book featuring a slate of creators like Mirka Andolfo, Brian Azzarello, Becky Cloonan, Jock, Joëlle Jones, Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and several others.
