Along with providing detailed value breakdowns for thousands upon thousands of comic books, The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide has provided comparisons among the most popular books. In the Guide’s fifth edition in 1974, Robert M. Overstreet ranked the top hundred titles based on their cumulative value that year. While several of these titles, like Action Comics and Detective Comics, are still top dogs in comic collecting, there are some whose momentum has not kept pace. Below is the list of the top 20 books based on their value in the Guide #5.
