The Silver Age of comics was a pivotal time in comics history. Marvel introduced a slew of characters who would become industry leaders, while DC revitalized their popular Golden Age heroes and introduced new incarnations to take up familiar mantles.

When The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #25 was published in 1995, Robert M. Overstreet evaluated the Silver Age by compiling a list of the top 10 books from the period. There are many books on the list that readers will expect, with a few variations from what we’d see today. Also of note, is the exceptional jump in prices that some of these comics have seen in the 27 years since the Guide’s 25th edition in ’95.
