Heritage Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction is closing this week on Thursday through Saturday, May 16-18, 2019. The auction is packed with impressive original art and comics, with rarities by Frank Frazetta and some of the most important keys in comics.

Frazetta’s Egyptian Queen original painting, considered to be one of the fantasy and sci-fi artist’s greatest pieces will be sold. In total, there are 23 works by Frazetta in this auction, which also includes the Jaguar God #2 original cover art.

Two of DC’s biggest keys will cross the auction block. One is Superman #1 CGC 5.0, which is the finest unrestored copy Heritage has offered, featuring story and art by co-creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The other is Batman #1 CGC 5.5, containing the first appearance of both the Joker and Catwoman, featuring art by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson.

On the Marvel side, some of their most popular heroes are ready to save the day. Captain America Comics #2 CGC 9.0 features the debut of Cap’s round shield and Hitler’s second cover appearance, with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby story and art, along with a few others. The Incredible Hulk #1 CBCS 8.5, with cover and art by Jack Kirby, gives the origin and first appearance of the Hulk, along with the debuts of Rick Jones, Betty Ross, and Thunderbolt Ross.

Some of the other original art includes Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday comic strip from 1962, John Byrne and Terry Austin X-Men #108 page 2 original art, Howard Chaykin American Flagg! #1 original cover art, and Sal Buscema Avengers #90 original cover art.

Tabletop and video games are also open for bids, such as the Magic: The Gathering Unlimited Edition Time Walk BGS 10 and Donkey Kong 3 Wata 9.2 A variant sealed hangtab.
