ComicLink has announced that an uncommonly high grade example of Captain America Comics #1 CGC 7.5 from 1941, with supple, off-white interior page preservation and bold, bright colors, has been added to the Winter Featured Auction Preview.

“This tightly graded example is one of the most important comic books ever published. It contains the first appearance and iconic origin story of how frail soldier Steve Rogers became the Sentinel of Liberty. It’s also the first appearance of Bucky Barnes, now the fan-favorite Winter Soldier, as well as the Red Skull, one of the most popular villains in all of comics! The famous cover illustrated by Cap’s legendary co-creator, Jack Kirby, features Cap punching out Hitler and was published before the USA even entered World War II. Captain America has been an icon of the comic book world for almost 80 years, but over the past decade his lead role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe perfectly portrayed by actor Chris Evans, has added hundreds of millions of new fans around the globe. Today Cap stands with Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man at the very pinnacle of superhero fame,” ComicLink founder and Managing Director, Josh Nathanson, said.
