Pedigree Comics’ January 2020 Grand Auction began on Monday, January 13, 2020 and lasts for ten days until the night of Thursday, January 23 as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com).

The first half of lots (1st Issue Special #1 9.8 to Justice League of America #88 9.4) end beginning at 8:00 PM ET on the night of Wednesday, January 22 and the second half of lots (Justice League of America #94 9.6 to X-Men #141 9.8) end on Thursday night, January 23 beginning at 8 PM ET.

There is no buyer’s premium on any of the lots in the auction and almost every listing will have no reserve. Every book is CGC or CBCS-graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. A total of 984 high grade comics and magazines are open for bidding on Pedigree’s website in the Auction Listing by clicking on the Auction banner.

The auction has many runs and groups of books, plus many individual highest certified comics. The highlight is the incredible, original owner Bronze Age Marvel and DC find from Davie, Florida. The Davie Collection has approximately 600 Bronze Age Marvel comics with some DC issues and some choice magazines. The new, recently certified collection is graded CGC 9.6 and higher. It spans from 1968 to the mid-1980s and features almost every Marvel title and many from DC. There are over 500 comics in the collection and nearly 100 magazines, all in CGC 9.6 and 9.8 grade.

The collector bought every book brand new from a few different comic book shops located in South Florida and never read one of them. He just put each book away in a mylar sleeve and backing board in acid free boxes and stored them in a climate controlled closet for the past 40-plus years. Almost every book has white pages and impressive cover gloss. There are many keys in the collection and many are the CGC highest graded copies and a few are the single highest. Every Davie book is being auctioned with no reserve.

Highlights from the Davie Collection include a run of late Silver to early Bronze Age X-Men, a selection of highest graded and single highest graded early 1970s DC horror, a great group of high grade Superman titles, high grade Batman and Detective Comics, a run of 9.8 graded Star Wars comics, highest certified Vampirella, and many more.
