X-Men members leave the team and Superman appears on an Action Comics combat cover in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation & Art Weekly Online Auction. Comic books are set to close on February 23, 2020, and the remaining items will close on February 24.

X-Men #94 VF/NM includes the resignation of Angel, Marvel Girl, and Iceman, as well as the departure of Sunfire, who was a later addition to the storyline. The issue also features the second appearances of Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, Banshee and Thunderbird, after their debut in Giant-Size X-Men #1. Dave Cockrum provided the artwork for the issue, and teamed up with Gil Kane to produce the cover. This issue currently ranks No. 15 on Overstreet’s Top 25 Bronze Age Comics list.

Superman gets into combat on the cover of Action Comics #63 CGC 5.5, appearing the front end of a Japanese war plane in mid-flight. The issue features art by Bernard Bailey and Mort Meskin and includes an appearance by Adolf Hitler in the Americommando story, as well as the final appearance of the 3 Aces fighter pilots. This copy is one of four in this grade.
