ComicLink’s Winter Featured Auction will soon be drawing to a close, with a vast selection of certified comic books as well as world class comic and fantasy related original art. Comic book lots close on Tuesday through Friday, February 25-28, 2020, as well as the following Monday, March 2. The original art session closes on Tuesday, March 3. Auction lots start closing at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT each evening. This article focuses on comic book highlights and a separate article in this week’s Scoop focuses on original art.

Among the many comic book highlights in the Winter Featured Auction are copies of Captain America Comics #1 (first appearance and origin of Captain America) CGC 7.5 and CGC 5.0 (CVA Exceptional).

Pre-code horror and crime highlights are Crime SuspenStories #22 (decapitation cover) CGC 9.0 with white pages, War Against Crime #10 (first Vault of Horror and Vault Keeper) CGC 9.8 Gaines File copy, Tales From the Crypt #33 (origin of Crypt Keeper) CGC 9.6, Chamber of Chills #19 (horror cover) CGC 5.0, and Tomb of Terror #15 (exploding face cover) CGC 6.5.

A few more outstanding Golden Age offerings are Action Comics #7 (second Superman cover) CBCS 5.5 Restored, #10 (third Superman cover) CBCS 6.5 Restored, #15 (fifth Superman cover) CBCS 5.0, and #23 (first Luthor) CGC 4.5, and All-American Comics #61 (first Solomon Grundy and origin) CGC 6.5, as well as lower grade examples of Superman #1 (coverless) and All-Star Comics #8 (first Wonder Woman).
