As we continue dealing with the huge disruption caused by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the advertising deadline for The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #50 has been extended to April 30, 2020. The following day, May 1, will be the last day to deliver ad materials for the book.

“We know that many people were looking forward to being part of our 50th anniversary celebration, and we’re very happy to extend this deadline under the circumstances,” said J.C. Vaughn, Vice-President of Publishing for Gemstone Publishing.

This year’s edition will be featured in the April PREVIEWS from Diamond Comic Distributors. Todd McFarlane has teamed up his world record-setting, creator-owned character, Spawn, with the Marvel character that propelled him to fame, Spider-Man, for an exclusive Overstreet cover. Beau Smith’s SyFy TV and comic book character Wynonna Earp, along with much of her supporting cast, appear on another of our covers thanks to the artistry of Chris Evenhuis. Valiant’s Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, and Livewire come together for battle in a cover by John K. Snyder III.  

“This is going to be a great year to be a part of the Guide,” said author and Publisher Robert M. Overstreet. “We would never have made it to 50 years without tremendous support from our readers, retailers, friends and colleagues, and we hope everyone willcome out and support us for this special edition.”

Overstreet #50 is due to go on sale Wednesday, July 22, in comic shops.

There is a 10% discount for three or more ads of the same size and type. 

All full-page advertisers receive a complimentary Directory Listing and a copy of this special anniversary edition of the Guide as well.

Since 1970, the Guide has been the Bible of serious comic book collectors and dealers alike. Along the way, we have seen the top prices paid for comics go from hundreds of dollars to millions. During that time comic collecting has gone from a quiet hobby to one with huge pop culture impact. With it’s proverbial Who’s Who of cover artists ‒ starting with Joe Kubert, Will Eisner, and Carl Barks, and including the likes of Mark Chiarello, Darwyn Cooke, Amanda Conner, Walter Simonson, and Joe Jusko ‒ the Guide has been there for all of it.

Whether you have a traditional brick-and-mortar retail location, a mail-order business or run a website, simply fill out this form with all the pertinent information and send it back to us, via email, fax, or regular mail. Please use the Genre Codes to indicate the types of products you offer by circling the appropriate letters. These letters are, in turn, listed in the directory with your business information for future customers to see.

Directory Listings range from $40 to $60, and remember, they also come free with full page ads. The final day to submit a Directory Listing for this edition is April 17, 2020. As with other ads, we accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for payment.
