The first issues of the Fantastic Four and X-Men are among the top lots in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation & Art Weekly Online Auction.

Fantastic Four #1 CBCS 1.5 signed by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee includes the origin and first appearance of the Fantastic Four, as well as Mole Man, the scientist turned villain. The issue, with Marvel’s first superhero team and featuring cover and art by Jack Kirby, is ranked No. 3 on Overstreet’s list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics.  

X-Men #1 CGC 1.5 contains the origin and first appearances of the X-Men: Professor X, Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman, and Marvel Girl, as well as Magneto. The title’s debut issue, with cover and art by Jack Kirby, is ranked No. 8 on Overstreet’s Top 50 Silver Age Comics list.

The auction has 542 lots with comics scheduled to close on Sunday, June 7, 2020, then other lots will follow on Monday, June 8. Bidding opens at 6 PM CT on ha.com.
