eMoviePoster has opened their three-part July Major Auction which contains 732 items from all over the world, every decade in film, and in many different sizes. Part I with 230 linen-backed one-sheets, three-sheets, 40” x 60”, and a six-sheet closes on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Part II is filled with 211 linen-backed posters, window cards, and more, which ends on Thursday, July 9. Part III with 291 mostly unbacked posters, campaign books, lobby cards, and more closes on Sunday, July 12.
Some of the best items in the Tuesday and Thursday auctions are linen-backed one-sheets of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington style B, Invasion of the Saucer Men, Little Annie Rooney, Sporting Youth, Leave Her to Heaven, Ride ‘Em Cowboy, Night of the Demon, Believe It or Not, House of Dracula, Yukon Jake, Tobor the Great, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town style B, Arsenic & Old Lace, and African Queen.
Other linen-backed posters are an Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman 40” x 60”, Dark Victory three-sheets, and United Air Lines Chicago travel poster.
International poster highlights are a Mexican Que Lindo Cha Cha Cha poster, Italian Day the Earth Stood Still one-panel, English Egypt travel poster, and British You Only Live Twice quad.
Window cards are Gold Rush, Adventures of Robin Hood, One Way Passage, The Thin Man, Way Down East, Laugh Clown Laugh, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, Winner Take All, and The Count.
Three surprising results from the June 28 auction of 1,253 bulk lots were a lot of 25 Secret Of Nimh Animation cels for $830, lot of 24 Peanuts first edition softcover books for $632, and lot of 65 horror/sci-fi lobby cards for $611.
