Two key first appearances from the Silver Age of comics are for sale in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comics, Animation, & Art Weekly Online Auction. Comics in the auction close on August 9, followed by everything else on August 10, 2020.

The Silver Age at DC begins with Showcase #4 CGC 3.5, featuring the first appearance and origin of the second Flash, Barry Allen. With a cover and art by Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert, this issue is in the No. 4 spot on Overstreet’s list of the Top 50 Silver Age Comics.

Supergirl’s first appearance and origin are found in Action Comics #252 CGC 6.5. The issue also contains the debut of Metallo, featuring a cover by Curt Swan, and the art by Al Plastino and Jim Mooney. It is tied for No. 16 on Overstreet’s Top 50 Silver Age Comics list.
