“2020 has been an incredible year for Pokémon investment collectors,” ComicConnect COO Vincent Zurzolo said. “Clients are diversifying their collectible portfolios and I’m exceedingly enthusiastic about offering Pokémon booster boxes in Event Auction #44.”
Debuting in 1999, Pokémon the trading card game has morphed into one of the most highly sought collectibles in the world, with a First Edition Booster Box recently commanding a record $360,000 at auction. ComicConnect is offering a selection of some of the earliest booster boxes in their current Event Auction.
Some of the sealed Pokémon Booster Boxes in the auction include an original 1995 Japanese Box, Fossil, Gym Challenge, Gym Heroes, Neo Genesis, Team Rocket, Unlimited Base, and an open box of Jungle. The auction ends December 14, 2020.
Early bidding already has the boxes between $5,000-$10,000. “These cards are a fresh, exciting new category for our clients,” Zurzolo added. “These early sets are constantly hitting new records and I’ve encouraged my investors to add multiple sets to their holdings.”
They also have a First Edition Booster Box available for private sale. They can be reached at vincentz@metropoliscomics.com.
