The first appearances of Mephisto and Immortus are featured in Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comic Books Weekly Select Auction. Comics in the auction close on June 20, 2021, followed by all other lots on June 21.

Mephisto, based on Mephistopheles from the Faust legend, was introduced in The Silver Surfer #3 CGC 9.0. John Buscema created the bold, dramatic cover and art and Gene Colan provided the art for this copy, which comes from the Oregon Coast Collection.

The Avengers #10 CGC 9.0 includes not only the debut of Immortus, but also an early appearance by Hercules, and appearances by Baron Zemo, Enchantress, and Executioner. Jack Kirby created the cover, which features Captain America, Thor, Giant Man, Wasp, Iron Man and Immortus, and Don Heck provided the art.
