A pair of early Avengers and Batman keys lead Heritage’s Sunday & Monday Comic Books Select Auction. Comics in the auction close on August 1, 2021, and everything else ends on August 2.

Captain America joins the team in The Avengers #4 CGC 7.5 in an issue that features Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Giant-Man, and Sub-Mariner, each of whom appears on the issue’s cover. Jack Kirby provided the cover and art for this key, which is tied at No. 44 on Overstreet’s Top 50 Silver Age Comics list.

Batman #9 The Promise Collection Pedigree CGC 3.0 features the first Batman Christmas story and an early appearance by the Joker. Bob Kane, Jerry Robinson, and George Roussos teamed up to provide the art for the issue which starts with a classic cover of Batman and Robin in the glare of a spotlight.
