Bidding in ComicConnect’s Pulp Auction 2 began on Monday, January 17, 2022, featuring the collection of pulp writer Chester Cuthbert. It includes a number of high grade pulps, like the July 1947 Fantastic Adventures, keys like the first appearances of Buck Rogers and Conan, as well as the first issues of Amazing Stories and The Spider.

“It’s not too late to jump feet first into the pulp market, with pulps garnering more value and attention every month,” ComicConnect COO Vincent Zurzolo said. “This auction has some of the nicest copies I’ve ever seen. Bidders are going to go nuts!”

Published primarily during the 1920s-1940s, pulps have typically sold for a fraction of the price many Golden Age comics garner.

“That’s about to change because investment collectors have taken notice, and suddenly, pulps have become part of collectible portfolios the world over,” ComicConnect pulp expert and head grader Sasha Fraze said. “This is a thrilling time to see the pulps getting the attention they deserve.
