Destroyer Duck #1, Charles Addams art, and Star Trek: Judgment Rites for PC are among the top highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday and Monday, February 5-6, 2023, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction closes on Tuesday, February 7, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction concludes on Wednesday, February 8.

Leading the comic auction is Destroyer Duck #1 CGC 9.4 with the first appearance of the gun-toting bird and debut of Sergio Aragonés’ Groo the Wanderer backup story. Jack Kirby and Neal Adams provided the cover, and Kirby handled the interior art for the main story with Alfredo Alcala.

Famous Funnies #1 CGC Apparent 6.0 features successful 1930s comic strips from Mutt and Jeff, Hairbreadth Harry, Nipper, Tailspin Tommy, Joe Palooka, The Bungle Family, and others. Jon Mayes created the wraparound cover for this issue.

The original art auction features a Charles Addams Monster Rally Addams Family remarqued sketch original art. The art of Wednesday and Pugsley Addams is rendered in blue felt tip marker inside of the Monster Rally hardcover book.

Fernando Dagnino captures the breakup of Harley Quinn and the Joker on the Suicide Squad #15 story page 12 original art. This page of ink over graphite and blue pencil was done for the New 52 Batman crossover “Death of the Family.”

The video game auction starts with the PC title, Star Trek: Judgment Rites VGA 80+ sealed (with shattered steel). The game is a sequel to the Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and features eight new episodes of space flight adventure.

Another tie-in title in the auction is Dick Tracy WATA 9.4 A+ sealed (oval SOQ R) for NES. Based on the 1990 movie, the game puts players in the position of the detective to gather clues, look at mugshots, interrogate criminals, and more.
