ComicConnect’s Event Auction 61, featuring vintage comics, original art, high grade pulps, and memorabilia. Sessions are closing from Monday through Friday, March 17-21, 2025.
Event Auction 61’s high grade Golden Age keys include Wonder Woman #1 8.0, plus the first appearance of Captain America in Captain America Comics #1 7.0, and Aquaman and Green Arrow debut in More Fun Comics #73 7.5. Prince Namor bridges the Golden and Silver Ages in a Fantastic Four #4 9.0, alongside a rare Amazing Spider-Man #1 9.4. There’s more Silver Age keys like the Justice League of America coming together for Brave and the Bold #28, while Bronze Age classics include Wolverine’s first appearance in Incredible Hulk #181 and a selection of foreign comics.
The original art features Wolverine work from Jim Lee, Barry Windsor-Smith, and Adam Kubert. ComicConnect has George Pérez’s cover for Fantastic Four Annual #15, and John Romita’s title page for Fantastic Four #103 marks the first non-Jack Kirby art to ever appear in the book. Kirby himself is represented with a Thor page from Journey Into Mystery #86 – predating Avengers #1 as the God of Thunder’s fourth appearance.
A selection of pulps include a run of Amazing Stories and Weird Tales, plus a Marvel Stories #1 showcasing the crossover between Marvel pulps and comics with a one-page Human Torch story from creator Carl Burgos. There’s also memorabilia ranging from Disney art for Fantasia to a Star Wars: Clone Wars storyboard, and more.
