Calling all comic and science aficionados, the two fandoms are colliding for Wintercon 2019. The show is being held on November 22-24 at the Resorts World Casino on 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard in Jamaica, New York. 

Special guests attending the show include Farscape alums Claudia Black, Ben Browder, Rockne S. O’Bannon, Virginia Hey, Anthony Simcoe, Lani Tupu, Kent McCord, and Gigi Edgley, as well as Veronica Cartwright and Tom Skerritt (Alien), Laurette Spang, Dirk Benedict, and Herb Jefferson Jr. (Battlestar Galactica), Noah Hathaway and Tami Stronach (The Neverending Story), Karan Ashley (Power Rangers), Billy Tucci (Shi), Mark Morales (X-Men), Russ Braun (The Boys), Nik Virella (Black Widow), Larry Stroman (Ghost Rider), and Mike Lilly (Detective Comics). 

With the Farscape cast on hand, Wintercon is celebrating the show’s 20th anniversary with panels on the main stage, photo-ops, and autograph sessions. There will also be an extensive Artist Alley and a fully-stocked exhibitors floor with vendors selling everything from the obscure to the hot new things. Wintercon will also have exclusive merchandise, kids’ events, and after parties lined up for the show. Cosplay enthusiasts, from pros to newbies, can strut their stuff in the annual cosplay contest. Celebrity judges will judge contestants on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and uniqueness for the chance to win some great prizes.

The con is running Friday 5:30 PM to 10 PM, Saturday 10:30 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10:30 AM to 5 PM. One-day adult passes are $25 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, $25 for Sunday with a full-weekend pass available for $70. Child passes (6-12) are $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday, $12 for Sunday, and $30 for the entire weekend. VIP passes are also currently available.
