Nintendo released a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games, which will be hitting the Nintendo Switch console later this year. The two-minute look at the game provided new info about brand-new Pokémon as well as other characters players can expect to encounter.

Some of the new Pokémon unveiled in this trailer included the fairy-type Alcremie, who looks like a soft pile of whipped cream, and the electric-type Yamper, who (appropriate for the British-based region the game is set in) bears a close resemblance to a corgi.

New characters included members of the Galar region’s Gym system, including Chairman Rose and the Gym leaders Bea and Allister, who respectively specialize in fighting and ghost types.

A look was provided at the “Gigantamaxing” function, in which Pokémon can grow to massive size during the course of a battle and also change appearance. It appears to be an upgraded version of the previously previewed “Dynamax” ability that will be a large part of in-game battles.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will hit the Switch worldwide on November 15, 2019.
