Sony streamed a new edition of their State of Play presentation on December 10, 2019, showcasing several new games that will be on the horizon in early 2020 – and some even sooner than that.

The biggest announcement of the day was the confirmation of the Resident Evil 3 remake, which will arrive on PlayStation 4 in April 2020. Included in this announcement was that the previously announced Project Resistance is now Resident Evil Resistance, a multiplayer mode that will be included with the game and feature its own campaign. This follows the massive success of the recent Resident Evil 2 remake, which released earlier in 2019.

Indie darling Untitled Goose Game will be honking its way to success on the PS4, and soon – it arrives next week, on December 17. The game has previously been available for Switch and PC and has been well-received.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will see its first major downloadable content arrive on January 23, 2020. Re:Mind will have characters resume the story during the climax of the main game, as Sora finds a way to bring Kairi back with him; he will be able to take on the role of the other Guardians of Light in their battle against the darkness.

The design toolkit known simply as Dreams will finally see a wide release in February 2020. Developed by Media Molecule, Dreams has been in early access since spring 2020 and has already been used to create numerous other games and even digital art installations. It will run just $29.99.

Other games featured included Paper Beast, Babylon’s Fall, Spellbreak, Superliminal, and others. The full presentation can be seen below.
