The Nintendo Switch has been home to plenty of high quality indie games since its launch, and on December 10, 2019 the company highlighted the next round of unique titles coming out soon with their Indie World Showcase.

The presentation opened with the reveal of Sports Story, which will be a sequel to the beloved Golf Story. This sports-forward role-playing game will include different sports such as tennis and baseball, and a new story that will blend elements of all sports together for a unique gameplay experience. It arrives on the Switch in 2020.

Also revealed was the genre blending SuperMash, which will allow players to create new games by mashing two different genres together, such as “platformer” and “JRPG.” The end result of the mash-up will depend on the choices made, and the success of each blending will vary each time. SuperMash arrives in 2020.

The Oddworld franchise makes its way to the Switch with Stranger’s Wrath, an action-adventure title that puts players in control of the titular Stranger as he collects on various bounties. The new “definitive edition” of this classic title will arrive on the Switch in January 2020.

Other games previewed included Dauntless, Murder by Numbers, SkateBIRD, The Talos Principle, Liberated, Boyfriend Dungeon, Dreamscaper, The Survivalists, Axiom Verge and others. The full presentation from Nintendo can be seen below.
