If you’re a comic book fan, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Amanda Conner is a very popular artist who has used her style to produce attractive and entertaining art with humor and detail. In 2016, Conner’s art was the subject of a featured exhibit at Geppi’s Entertainment Museum (GEM), which included many pieces from her work in Harley Quinn, Painkiller Jane, Power Girl, Red Sonja, and Star Wars, among other titles.

In conjunction with the exhibit, GEM and Gemstone Publishing produced The Artistry of Amanda Conner, a 64-page companion book. Featuring 50 original ink on paper pieces, the book includes her first work on Harley, art that was published by DC, Marvel, BOOM!, Dynamite, IDW, and Aftershock.

The Artistry of Amanda Conner was originally available only to visitors to the exhibit at GEM. When the museum closed and Steve Geppi donated his collection to The Library of Congress, Gemstone Publishing was able to acquire a limited number of copies of this beautifully illustrated book that spotlights the work of this popular artist. It retails for $10.

“Amanda Conner has been one of our favorite cover artists to work with on The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, and our Creative Director, Mark Huesman, really enjoyed putting this overview of the GEM exhibit together. We wish could offer it to a wider audience, but we’re happy we’re able to make it available on our site,” J.C. Vaughn, Gemstone’s Vice-President of Publishing, said.

The Artistry of Amanda Conner is available for purchase on the Gemstone Publishing website.
