Writer John Arcudi (Rumble, B.P.R.D.) and artist Valerio Giangiordano are joining together for the new tale of terror, Two Moons. The new ongoing horror series will launch at Image in February 2021.

Two Moons tells the story of Virgil Morris, aka Two Moons, a young Pawnee man fighting for the Union during the Civil War. When he is confronted by his shamanic roots, Virgil learns about terrible horrors as ghosts from his past reveal the evil around him.

Two Moons is a book I’ve been trying to write for years. It’s a horror/action story first and foremost, but it’s more than that for me and, I hope, for the reader,” Arcudi said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “The complicated history of indigenous peoples during the 19th C. was what inspired me to take this story on and we explore some of that through the eyes of a young Pawnee man as he grows to learn more about his place in the world. And Valerio Giangiordano is absolutely killing it on the art! Could not have asked for a better collaborator on this gorgeous book. I’m excited to see this finally get out of my head and into readers’ hands.”

Two Moons #1 will be in stores on Wednesday, February 24.
