Mark Hamill has joined Legendary Entertainment’s feature film project, The Machine, starring comedian Bert Kreischer. The news broke this week with an image of Hamill and Kreischer heading to Serbia to begin production.

The movie is based on Kreischer’s real life adventures that he told in his breakout comedy routine “The Machine.” In the outlandish tale, Kreischer recounts how he inadvertently spent time partying with Russian gangsters.

For the movie, his history catches up to him when he and his father are kidnapped by the people he wronged 20 years ago during a drunken college semester in Russia. Hamill’s character name was not given, but based on the synopsis, he’ll most likely play Kreischer’s father or a Russian gangster.

Kreischer and Judi Marmel are producing the movie and it will be directed by Peter Atencio. “The Machine” routine is available on Kreischer’s YouTube channel. Note: it does contain adult language.
