The Doctor is quite resourceful but sometimes even the time traveling hero can’t protect Earth from all of the extra-terrestrial threats. In November 2021, Big Finish (the home of Doctor Who audio adventures), released the new drama, UNIT: Nemesis 1 – Between Two Worlds. Recently, Doctor Who dropped a promo video introducing the UNIT team.

Jemma Redgrave is back as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, a role she has played in audio form and on the live-action TV show. She returned most recently in the six-part Flux series that will wrap on December 5.

She is joined on the UNIT task force by Osgood, the scientific advisor who originated the role in 2013’s The Day of the Doctor TV movie. The team also includes rebellious soldier Josh Carter (James Joyce), medical officer Harry Sullivan (Christopher Naylor), and field agent Naomi Cross (Eleanor Crooks). Tom Baker, the Fourth Doctor, is back as the Curator.

“An ancient artifact, a stone arch anachronistically imbedded with electronic circuitry, is recovered following a rupture in an undersea stretch of the Mull lava group in North West Scotland, a geological feature dating from tens of millions of years ago,” Big Finish’s description reads. “UNIT’s investigation will unlock a link to another world and bring them face to face with a new and powerful threat...”
