CGC Video Games will launch later in 2022, offering grading services to a wide range of video games. The third party grader recently provided updates on the new service, including which consoles will be covered, the appointment of a senior staff member, and what to expect from their holders.
CGC will soon accept submissions of video game cartridges and disks from Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, Switch, Virtual Boy, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS/3DS, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 1-5, PSP and PS Vita, Atari, Intellivision, and ColecoVision.
Video game expert Matt McClellan will be leading the CGC team as Senior Video Game Grading Finalizer. Before he joined CGC, McClellan operated a video game store where he gained expertise in video game authentication, condition, and rarity. He is especially known for authenticating sealed original Xbox games, modern systems, and Nintendo games.
CGC also announced that they are developing video game holders that are sleek, clear, and protective.
