Creator Ed Laroche (The Warning) is penning a new sci-fi/fantasy comic that Image Comics describes as “Max Max: Fury Road-style action combined with the mutated horror of Annihilation.” The five-issue miniseries, Almighty, will be in comic shops in February 2023.

“I can’t wait for people to experience this story; each issue ratchets up the tension culminating in one of the most unexpected climaxes put to paper,” Laroche said.  

Set in 2098, Third World America is suffering from economic collapse, anarcho-warfare, and a mysterious, though contained, environmental disaster. After a girl was kidnapped, a killer has been hired to find and bring her home.

Almighty #1 will be in comic shops on February 1.
