Limited Run Games is releasing the Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection featuring multiple games that are based on the classic movie. Initially, the collection would include Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy games, and now it has expanded by adding two games that were released on Sega Genesis.
The Jurassic Park compilation will feature seven games, starting with the Jurassic Park game released on NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Sega. It also includes Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues from SNES and Game Boy, and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition from Sega.
Adding the Sega games gives players more gameplay options. Nintendo’s original Jurassic Park only had Alan Grant as the playable character, while the Sega allowed players to play as a velociraptor. That option carried over to Jurassic Park Part 2.
To make the notoriously difficult games more fun and easier, Limited Run Games has made some edits and additions. The games will now have save states, in-game maps, and game quality fixes, though specific details have not been released on what those entail.
Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X in a standard version, classic option, and prehistoric edition. Limited Run Games is also selling related products that include apparel, trading cards, pins, and more. It is now open for preorders.
