Despite having a heck of a lot of backup, Doreen is basically on the ropes and at the mercy of Melissa Morbeck and Doctor Doom. But just when things seem at their bleakest, one of Doreen’s most powerful pals shows up – Galactus himself. After talking the big man out of snacking on some of Earth’s most dangerous villains, Doreen and Galactus share a quiet moment on the Moon. And through the use of the Power Cosmic, the group of antagonists led by Morbeck and Doom end up in a cell quite hastily. So at least this time, it’s a happily ever after for Squirrel Girl.

This is the final issue of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and I’m really going to miss it. Doreen very quickly became one of my favorite Marvel characters thanks to her unyielding optimism and untraditional methods of taking down bad guys. Every single person who was involved in the creative process on these books should be applauded for their work. Squirrel Girl was simply a fun series. It’s certainly going to be a significant void in the Marvel catalog to fill.
