With her father’s life in the hands of Doctor Strange, Kamala Khan has taken off in order to take out one seriously enraged Mister Hyde before he can do any more damage. Out and about in Jersey City, Hyde is a terrible force to be reckoned with – but just when he thinks he has Ms. Marvel figured out, her upgraded suit shows it’s full of surprises, for better and for worse.

It’s just been one issue after another for Kamala, between her father being near death, her relationship with Bruno becoming increasingly complicated, a supervillain crashing the hospital that her dad’s surgery is taking place at, and now her own suit literally turning on her. But despite so much happening, the creative team manages to keep things balanced between it all, and the frenetic pacing never quite gets out of hand. Ms. Marvel remains a compelling read every month and I can’t recommend it enough.
