Deep inside the Hellmouth, the Hellmother wants to use Buffy and Angel to gain more power and to extend its dominion. As Buffy and Angel try to find a way to combat the threat so that they can return to the surface and stop the demons that already rose, they end up with a few unlikely allies and learn some surprising information.

The action picks up in Hellmouth #3. Since Buffy and Angel dove into the Hellmouth they’ve faced just as many surprises and twists as actual opponents. Once the Hellmother shows them a manifestation of itself and they realize what they are up against, Buffy is pushed into an enemy of my enemy scenario. With the way the issue ended, the next one should be exciting.
