Carol has been doing her best to “kill off” the other Avengers in a way that’s convincing enough for the Kree superpower known as the Vox Supreme, but she may have met her match in the form of one extremely enraged She-Hulk. But mid-beating, Carol figures out Vox’s ultimate plan, and is able to make moves to prevent a tragedy. In spite of her thinking, though, Carol too ends up taken by Vox Supreme, with no idea as to what might happen next.
Carol’s quick thinking with regards to how to handle the impossible task laid before her has essentially allowed her to create a backup plan in the form of the rest of the Avengers. With the kind of cliffhanger ending this issue ends on, though, who knows what’s going to actually play out next month. Captain Marvel continues to be a highlight of the current Marvel catalog, and this arc has gone a long way to prove why it’s worth a pickup.
